"BOB DYLAN THE BOOTLEG SERIES VOLUME 12"

Dando continuidade ao assunto do ultimo post, vamos falar agora do mais recente volume da serie Bootleg do mito da folk music Bob Dylan. Lançada em novembro do ano passado, o decima segunda edição da serie se chama “The Cutting Edge 1965 – 1966”. Que engloba o período dos antológicos discos “Bringing It All Back Home (1965)”, “Highway 61 Revisited (1965)” e “Blonde on Blonde (1966)”.

Foi um momento complicado para Dylan. Influenciado pela invasão britânica, liderada pelos Beatles.  Ele deixa largar o jeito trovador (voz & violão) para pegar uma guitarra e eletrificar seu som. Para seus fãs na época, ele foi chamado de traidor do movimento.

E se tornando um rockstar na sua essência. A criatividade aflorou, onde saiu da sua zona de conforto do som acústico e letra de protesto. Com o rock inglês somado ao som do blues de Chicago, Dylan amplificou e ampliou sua sonoridade.

“The Cutting Edge” foi lançado em três formatos. O primeiro com seis discos chamado “Deluxe Edition” com vários outakes de clássicos como “Like A Rolling Stone (esta praticamente com todas as sessões de gravação)”, “Love Minus Zero / No Limit”, “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues”, “Vision of Johana” e “Just Like a Woman”. Temos inclusive uma versão em vinil, com três discos.

A segunda seria uma espécie de “Best of” da edição de luxo, com dois discos. E uma versão que fará os fãs venderem seus bens pessoais. Contendo 18 discos, as anotações de cada gravação feita entre 1965 e 1966, nove singles em vinil de 45rpm e um livro de 180 páginas com imagens nunca vistas da época. Junto a isso, gravações caseiras feitas por Dylan em quartos de hotéis como Savoy Hotel em Londres (04.05.1965), o North British Station Hotel em Glasgow (13.05.1966) e no Colorado Hotel em Denver (12.03.1966). Mais uma parte da película do documentário “Don’t Look Back (1967)”.
